Tripod by Alessi at first sight may seem like a piece of jewellery, but is in fact a unique trivet by young designer Gabriele Chiave. The exceptional design consists of stable elements on a chain, so that Tripod can dangle from a kitchen hook.

Like dice, Tripod can be rolled onto and arranged on your table. Once you find a suitable position, Tripod becomes a trivet for pots, hot trays or serving dishes. Tripod’s visual aspect makes it both a decorative and functional object. This allows you to leave Tripod on the table or somewhere else when you have finished your dinner.

Wool is the most hydrophilic of all-natural fibers, absorbing as much as 30% of its weight without feeling wet.

When GL felt absorbs moisture from the surface it follows the long, densely felted merino fibers out to the edges where it evaporates. Surfaces remain dry, ring-free and grateful. That’s exactly what a coaster that works should do, over and over again, without sticking to your glass or losing its looks.  We make those.

Inspired by that classic, quilted oven mitt that we've all used as a makeshift trivet. Safe for use with any hot pots or serving dishes.

Material: concrete & recycled glass w/ a cork base

Dimensions: 12.25" w x 7" d x 1" h

This concrete work is all individually hand cast from custom made rubber molds. Colors are integrally mixed into the concrete and results in each piece being unique. Although the sealer is food grade and safe we don't recommend using these for direct food contact. Natural voids occur during casting and some pieces will have very small pin holes.

Do not submerge in water. Wipe clean with mild soap and water.
